The delegation of Preparatory Committee for the Southern Mongolian Congress visit the Exiled Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama
At the beginning of this year, the famous Mongolia’s human rights leader exiled in Germany, Mr. Temtselt Shobshuud with the other Mongolian dissidents all around the world established the Preparatory Committee for the Southern Mongolian Congress. To accelerate the preparatory work of the Congress, The delegation of the Preparatory Committee for the Southern Mongolian Congress led by Mr. Temtselt Shobshuud visited Dharamsala, India and were courteously received by the Holyness Dalai Lama.
The delegation is composed by six members. The head of delegation is Mr.Temtselt and the deputy one is Mr. Daichin. It is the first time that the Preparatory Committee for the Southern Mongolian Congress has visited outside in groups. Mr.Temtselt Shobshuud said that, “Mongolia and Tibet have traditionally historical origin on religion & culture. All of our Mongolians are Tibetan Buddhists. In the sense that the Holyness Dalai Lama is also the spiritual leader of ours. Thus, we choose Dharamsala as the destination of our first visit. At this time we visit including the Tibet Children’s Village, temples and Tibetan refugee camp. It is very impressed that we see Tibetans’ indomitable spirit of survival in India. ”
Mr.Temtselt Shobshuud also said that, the central topic of this visit discussed about the exchange and study of the parliament business. The foreign minister of the Central Tibetan Administration received us and exchanged views on many issues. Thereafter, the president of Tibetan parliament personally led us to visit their parliament. The members of the standing committee had dinner together with us and discussed the issues of mutual concern and their respective situations. In addition,the most important content of this visit is an audience with Dalai Lama. Despite of the busy schedule, the Holyness Dalai Lama received us. The spiritual leader concerns the inheritance and development of our South Mongolia religion and culture and encourages us to preserve our own religion & culture.
